A copper receiver holds the counterflashing at its top edge. Copper flashing is locked into this edge and extends at least 8 up the wall. Fasten with appropriate substrate fastener at minimum 4 fasteners per zee or 3 inches on center. Flashings near the edges of roofs or walls can be subjected to suction or negative wind loads that can be greater than other positive imposed loads.
